Stereotypes are nothing new. You’re not being unique by following them.
This is a photo from the Library of Congress Archives. It shows three women dressed as fortune-telling gypsies with a American flags behind them. Possibly shows a garden party benefit held June 6, 1917, on Governor’s Island, New York, to benefit the Army Relief Society.
It wasn’t right then, and it’s not right now.
