nikiya asked: i have a question -- what is the correct term for Walking People that outsiders should use? i've heard roma/romani and variants of these spellings... if i were writing something and i wanted to refer to a character with a roma lineage, how would i not fail miserably at representing it/naming the background? (i'm going to check the links out you've put together, too.) thank you in advance!!

My short answer is ‘Rromani/Rroma”

My longer answer is if you’re developing a character, it’d be great if you really did your research and were more specific if you could be. Rroma are not monolithic and there are lots of cultures within that title. So what group is the walking person from? Where are they living? Where are their family from? Then you can portray a more accurate picture.
