A gypsy is someone who makes their living by way of proficiency in some form of fine arts, whether it be music, dance, art, or rudimentary crafts. A gypsy is someone who has embraced a certain lifestyle, often because of persecution in a former homeland, or because they prefer the traveling lifestyle to the stationary grind of grounded society.

A gypsy is NOT a little rich suburban white girl who does her hair in crazy ways and spends all day roaming around town in search of eclectic and eccentric thrift shop items. A gypsy is not some college drop-out participating in a drum circle on a sidewalk downtown.
